In HOUSE OF LOSING CONTROL the artist Kristina Kulakova focuses on the topic of desire of having control over things, the fear of losing it and what can open when disrupted.

The attempt to control everything in our lives brings us to the place where that desire starts controlling us - our decisions, how we act and which path we chose. By trying to control feelings they frieze. Locked in our bodies they begin to define who we are.

By avoiding unpleasant feelings like anger, fear, sorrow and grief, a static state of being is created. A state that Kulakova describes as stopping the body’s natural stream of water. One can frieze the water, but by freezing the negative all positive is blocked as well, stopping that current.

In order to be in the flow one has to surrender and let go of control, accept what is and not try to swim against the current.

Only then, we release to the full.
